This picture is from this summer when Mom visited up north, just so you don't think Dre's hair has sprouted like a crazed Chia pet. Here's an e-mail from Cousin Liane about her mom's recuperation:"Hi Everyone:
Hope all is well or expected to be!
So my mom has returned home after a 2 week stay at Pacifica Rehab Center in Pacifica.
Uncle Art and Auntie Shirley have been taking care of my mom for the last 2 weeks and they leave for home on October 13.
Mom is determined to get better and wants to be at home.
She has gained a pound in a week and now weighs 71 pounds thanks to Auntie Shirley cooking all the time.
Apo Mary and Apo King have also visited multiple times and also brings food to fatten up my mom.
I want to thank everyone out there for thinking of my mom and sending her your love and cards of encouragement.

I have been crazy busy at work but hope it will slow down in a couple of weeks. Your beloved Maverick is doing well. Davidson gave me a trick to get him to eat, put water on his food -- who would have thought?
The little dog is really happy when Maverick comes to visit, so happy that he is so upset when he leaves. You might have to take little bit for sleepovers when you get back.
the performance went well, but I still don't see how I did the "slide" the wrong way during the demonstration. aren't we always supposed to go right first? lol. Anyway, it was a pleasure to dance for you and Mom.
