Uncle Michael's Fundraiser

One of the highlights of my childhood is the gallivanting we did to visit family. I can remember my surprise birthday with pink guava cake at Auntie Nita's, following the creek behind Mama Aida's house all the way to its anticlimactic source, walking on the sidewalk from Grandpa John's next door to Claudette's so I wouldn't step on the round, thorny balls the tree dropped onto the grass. So many good memories, and tucked in there is Uncle Michael letting me sit on a Bahia barstool and giving me two, TWO cherries in my Shirley Temple. Good times, good times.

Now, we're meeting at the Bahia once again. The reason for our gathering might not be entirely pleasant but when we're all together it's bound to be a party! To help Uncle Michael with his medical and living expenses, there will be a fundraiser and auction and here are the deets:
