The staff at Wilshire Oncology Medical Group where Dre's being treated has been amazing. They're competent, caring and responsive. This is good because Mom and I are able to relax and "Mean Luana" doesn't have to visit to come and have get-on-the-ball talks with anyone. And that makes the world a happier place for everyone.
Today is Mom's last day of this round of chemotherapy. Then she's on a break for two weeks. During her break she has to have bloodwork done, a pulmonary function test, a Neulasta injection and another treatment of her Bleomycin. So it's not a true break but at least we don't have the five hours every day!
Dre and I would like to send our warmest Aloha out to the wahine and makuahine of Halau Napuaokamokihaha'ohaikapolioluana! My halau is dancing at the first Spirit of Japantown festival this weekend. Wish I could be there but I suppose I'll wait until it comes out on YouTube - strive to the highest ladies!
